I love my little house but as a single woman I can’t say that sometimes I’m not a bit afraid to be at home alone. I always worry about someone breaking in or there being a fire or something and I’ve even thought about getting a big dogto help calm me down. I love that I’m closer to work and that I’ve got this huge backyard because I’m all about being in the outdoors any chance I get. There’s something to be said for soaking up the sun when you’re stressed so that’s just what I’m going to do if I have my way! I got security systems fresno to make me feel better about being here alone and I even asked my friend who’s a cop to come by once a night on his beat and check on the house. I know he’s probably not supposed to but it does make me feel better when I hear him drive by! I love my life and I’m not in any hurry to get married (but my mom is…)

I always love it whenever I come across a stranger, or just get into a really deep conversation with an acquaintance, and realize that they also love the TV show Community as much as I do. I just think that TV show is so hilarious and I love chatting about it with other people. I even hosted a season premiere party with some of my friends to celebrate the new season.

I also made some food for it to make sure that everyone would come without the excuse of missing dinner or something crazy like that. I found a couple of really good cookie recipes online with my Bellingham wireless internet that I loved. It's also a good thing that my friends loved them too! I wouldn't have some complaining ruining my Community premiere!

I also lured a few of my friends in that had never seen the Community show. I think that I made some true believers out of them. It's one of those great shows that you can watch with lots of other people and enjoy.

The True Meaning of Christmas

In this economy which is difficult for a lot of people we need not get depressed.
We only need to stop and remember the true meaning of Christmas.

It's Love.

You don't need to spend a lot of money on Christmas to make it special.
Enjoy your time with your family and friends.
Be thank ful that you have family & friends, some don't.

If you must gift a gift there are a lot of things you can do.
Write a poem, or pick a favorite of yours.
A simple piece of paper decorated up with pens or colored pencils,
marking pens, anything you have handy will work.
Write out the poem & put it in a decorated envelope.
If you can bake, bake some cookies or pumpkin bread.
Give a coupon that you have made to take your family on an outing
when you have more funds to work with.

One year at Christmas we did not have any money & I had 4 children aged 3 to 15.
I made simple coupons and put on there that they could have a friend spend the weekend. Another was baking a batch of their favorite cookies, another was a movie out. I just used my imagination for that particular childs likes.
I also had things that were passed down to me from prior generations that I chose for each child and wrapped it with their name on it.
My grandfather had made me a doll bed when I was a child, a great gift for girls that like doll collections. He had also made a caboose, chairs, a giraffe that you hang clothes on, my mother had given me a beautiful jewelry box,
my grandmother some dishes that she had considered antiques.
All these things collected over my years made fabulous Christmas gifts for my children.

Slow Down!

I don't like posting negative things. I would rather post up positive things to brighten your day, but, some things are so important for everyone to know that I have to write about them

One she had on recently was about Slowing Down in Your One Life.
Slow Down, Your health, Your children's health, Your Mental health depends on you taking care of yourself.
One lady was on her show taking about her life being so busy she did not know that she had left her daughter in the car.
She had 2 young children and husband and a job.
Her husband normally took the children to 2 different day cares everyday then went to work and she went to her job.
This day her husband could not take her daughter to her daycare.
The mother went to work and forgot her small daughter was in the back seat.
8 Hours Later someone told her her daughter was still in her car.
She said she had just been talking to someone about her children and how they loved them and how much they meant to them.
Of course she immediately panicked and tore out to the car and pulled her daughter out of the car so fast the car seat came with her.
The sad part is she was to late!
It was August. The hottest month of the year. Her daughter had died of head stroke.
We get so busy in our lives raising our children, working full time, trying to keep up with everything life throws at us.
We simply can not do everything, it's not possible.
We all choose our lives. Make your choices well and with Wisdom.
Slow down, you will live longer, and enjoy the moments. THE Moments can not be enjoyed if you don't take the time to enjoy them.

Sometimes we have to make better financial decisions to slow down.

The Importance of Health Insurance

Everyone Must Have Health Insurance! It is so Important.

My sister fell over the weekend.
We were all at my daughters home celebrating 4 birthdays.
She got her hamburger off the grill, turned around and started walking, she forgot
there was a step there. When she tried to catch herself her knees froze up, she tried to step down and broke 1 leg, then she fell, and broke the other leg.
Where she fell she should not have broken anything. There was only 1 step and it was soft wood. Everyone Needs Health Insurance!

Two Broken Legs!

The hospital stay for 5 days is $30,000!!
Her 2 week stay at a nursing home is $5,000!!

Since she recently started a new job she does not have Health Insurance to cover this!
My daughter's Home Insurance said they would pay her only $1,000!! If they pay that it will raise her Home Owners Insurance several hundred dollars a year for the next few years!

My sister and her husband are hard working people just like the rest of us, No Huge Nest Egg which is what she would need to pay that bill.
You never know what will happen.

I walked out my front door and fell off a step onto concrete and broke my arm.
Visit to the doctor, x rays, 3 visits to specialists, more xrays. The xrays alone were over $1,500! The doctor visits, split, medications were about $600, nothing near what my sister's bill looks like!
I have health insurance. My out of pocket expense was $160.

My oldest daughter & her husband are adopting a boy 7 yrs old & a girl 8 Yrs old.
They were foster children taken from their mother, then their grandmother, then were in a couple of different fosters before my daughter took them in.

Now my youngest daughter has taken a baby 10 months old to keep her from going back into foster care. She is planning to adopt her as well.

I am very excited to be a new grandma and very proud of my children. They are very caring people to take children into their own home as their own.

If everyone could take just 1 child and give them a home the problem with all these children needing a secure, loving family to call their own would be nonexistent.

Ok, So you decided you want to work at home on the computer instead of in a regular outside the home job. Good for you, BUT, Don't Quit Your Day Job, yet.

Building a business on the Internet takes a lot of time. It also takes a lot of advertising and advertising takes time to pull in the results you are looking for.
Results do not happen overnight. Take it from one person here that has been working at home on the Internet for 8 years now.

JUST BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME? NO!- Reality Check: It just does not work that way.

You have to find or develop something to sell, build a website or hire someone to build it for you, get it published and create a lot of eye catching ads, hiring an expert in this field is the best. Then you have to send lot a lot and I mean a lot of ads. You can find some places where you advertise on for free, safe lists and message boards, some social networks you can post for free, bombard your friends, etc. For a business to make the kind of money you need coming in on a daily, weekly, monthly basis like you need to sustain a household you will have to spend money to advertise.

The big money earners here on the Internet spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on their advertising alone. Some it pays off for, down the road a bit.

You send out an ad and it can be a month before that person opens his mailbox, some get deleted and never get read, some will open and read and delete, that small few will open read, ponder and actually purchase.

KEEP YOUR DAY JOB until you have it built so big you are able to live off that income and have money to put in the bank besides. Be Patient, if you do it right that money will come.

Working at home does have it's advantages like no dress code, shoot you can work in your jamies if you want( if you can stand yourself),
no gas to drive back and forth, set your own hours(thats only to a point) you still have to work.

Working at home takes a lot of dedication, day in and day out.

Relaxing on the beach? Well... you have to build a good size business first and that takes time! And Money for advertising!

Be Dedicated! Spend a lot of time posting ads, talking to multiple people, figuring out your scripts if you are writing or posting ads, reading contracts, writing contracts, building webpages, building mailing lists and on and on.

Now, I am not trying to discourage anyone. If that is your goal Fabulous! I just want you to know you can not just click a few buttons and earn a good income.

Don't let anyone fool you, it's Still Work! Some days a Lot of Work! Be Prepared!

If you grow your business so you are making a Lot of money, then you might need to hire an assistant to help you keep up because you will be very busy.

There are some great Headsets on the market.
If you are listening to music, working on something you need to listen to for work, doing a customer service job and number of other things you do want to make sure you have a good one.

They are also very handy if you have someone in your home that likes to listen to music but no one else wants to hear.

There are headsets that go over your head for listening with both ears. They are make them that cover only one ear. Some are even wireless.

If you work a customer service job I suggest you do not use a wireless one. You need to hear everything that is being said and there seems to be a bit of a delay sometimes.
For the you would be best to get one that just plugs into the USB port of your PC.

They range greatly in price. You can find these in the Online Mall as well, get your rebate!

Save Money Doing Your Own PC Maintenance!

Computer repair companies will charge you $75 to $130 to do the same things you can do at home, if you know how.
First Turn ON your Windows Firewall!
Keep yourself SAFE form Hackers!

What you need to do is Clear your cache every night before you turn off your PC for the night.
Go into Internet options click Delete files, delete History and any thing else you want to remove.
The fewer things you have in there the better your PC will run.
Do that in the middle of the day if you use your PC a lot, then restart your PC.
Also do that at night before you turn off your PC for the night.
Never leave your PC on all night, if you do that slows it down.

Also do a defrag at least once a month, once a week is what i have mine set to.
Find the file that says: Defragmentor.
I have it set to do that automatically.
Defrag Drive C is especially important.

Also get a good virus and spyware program. You can not live without theses.
I highly suggest going over to: Download.com and get the AVG Virus Program and the Ad-Aware spyware program.
Run those every night before you turn off your PC for the night.
Doing just those few things will ensure your PC will work much better and you will save a lot on PC repairs.

What Kind Of Computer Should I Buy?

People ask me this all the time.

That depends on what kind of job you are doing.
The best suggestion I can give you is buy a new one.
Computers have changed a lot.
If you have an XP hey use it, but Microsoft will not be letting you get any updates for your
programs shortly and we all want to stay updated on the programs we use everyday.
I just purchased a new computer.
It's a Vista. I was afraid of using Vista because others had told me they did not like it and they could not finds things on it.
Let me tell you I love it!
It took me several days to get used to where to find things but its worth it.
If you really confused get out your Manual, that explains it all.

There are Computers in the Mall also.
Go get your mall and get a rebate it on a new one!

You Have to be Comfortable!

I still talk to people that sit in table chairs, wooden and metal, all day and they are trying to work. One of the first things you really want to do is purchase yourself a comfortable desk chair! It makes all the difference! You end up with a back ache, a neck ache, sore legs, tired arms and definitely not good height to work at your computer with.

I bought a desk chair at a garage sale and used that for several years. That was almost as big a mistake as the people that use their kitchen chairs. It still had a little 'Cush' when i bought it and it was cheap, sometimes cheap if what you have to do, but I soon found out that when someone else squishes all the 'Cush' with their 'Tush' it is not a very comfy place for you. I got to the point where I was was so tired of sitting in that chair I would get down on my knees and work. That would last for a short time then I would sit in that 'Cush Gone' chair again.

It makes all the difference when you are comfortable. Some office supplies have great chairs at very affordable prices. I suggest you invest a little money in one that is 'Cushy'.

The chair I purchased was a little over $100, Italian leather with lots of 'Cush' and its so big I can even move around in it for different positions. It swivels, the back moves down and I can tell you What a Difference. My attitude has improved and I can sit here forever. I love working at home and being comfortable makes it even better!

Sign On The Door!

When I started working at home it was so difficult to make sure people knew that I could not be interrupted. They would bang on my literally Bang on my door if I did not answer at the first knock.

I started out working on the telephone and when you are working on the phone you simply can not have noise. The funny thing was that the solicitors were the most polite! It was my friends and family that were not! No matter how many times I told them they continued to bang on my door, loudly I might add (so I would hear they said). They would call me all the time as well.

Excuse me... I love you but... I have a job. I don't bother you at your job running down to your office all day and banging on your cubicle and yelling until you pay attention to me! I don't call you all day long at Your office. What would you do if I did? What would your Boss do if I did? Now think about that. I am doing what I do to earn an income as well.

I finally put a Big Note on my front door. It said: "Working, Do Not Disturb". Funny thing, the solicitors stopped knocking, but my family did not!

After I finally got Very upset with them they seemed to understand, OK either you leave me alone so I can earn a living too or I'm going to be eating at your house, Every Night! and How would you like a Permanent house guest!?!

I finally gave them my schedule and insisted they do not bother me between these hours. Do not bang on my door and do not call me during those times. If you want to talk, a question, a short sentence, Email me. They finally got it. Now they know that for 60 seconds they have my attention in an email.

Set your limits as to what you want. Don't change your mind once you have decided. Let them know and stand your ground. It Is Most Definitely Worth It!

You Need An Area To Work!

If you are planning to work at home you need an office are. A place that is all your own. Some type of jobs you will find on the Internet you have to have absolutely no background noise at all.

For that type of job you will need an area you can be in by yourself with no children running all around, no dogs barking and your significant other not insisting on watching the TV or playing music when you are trying to work.

Possibly use a bedroom you can fit a desk in, maybe you have an attic area you can convert, possibly a basement area or a garage. Wherever it is if you can make it just Your Place that is the best solution.

My son and his friends would always sit at my computer whenever they could sneak there and decide to change my settings so they could play games, music, search the web, whatever stuck their fancy at the time. When I would go to work - guess what? I would have to change all my settings back so that I could do my job.

Let me tell you that was so much wasted time and a lot of Aggravation! If you possibly can get your own computer and own workspace, it will make a big difference in your productivity!

Hi Everyone!
Thank you for coming to visit. Let me know you have been here.

I live just south of Seattle. I wish you were all my neighbors so we could visit, but since that not possible we can visit here. I Love the Internet. Such a great place to make friends!

I went through a horid divorce a few years ago and had to start all over again. My business closed at the same time my divorce was final and my youngest son moved out about the same time leaving me all alone.

With all those things happening in my life at the same time it was very difficult to cope for awhile. I had to totally start over.

When my business closed I had no income so I started looking all over for a job or something I could do to create an income to support myself. I am sure that some of you have been in similar situations. I had to sell my condo, my furniture, my cars and everything I owned just to survive.

It's been a long struggle but.... I have a good story to tell now. I made it! With God on my side nothing can take away what I have learned in just these few years. I now have a good steady income working a full time job at home. Start with what is in front of you. Do what you now how to do and look for ways to move forward in your life and look for your next your job opportunity.
